The Potter's Hand

In this fun and faith-filled ceramics class, kids will explore the art of working with clay while learning about how God shapes each of us with love and purpose—just like a potter shapes clay. Inspired by verses like Isaiah 64:8 ("We are the clay, You are the potter; we are all the work of Your hand"), students will hand-build and sculpt their own creations using basic ceramic techniques.

Each week includes a short devotional, hands-on clay time, and meaningful discussions that connect the creative process to Biblical truths about identity, patience, transformation, and God’s design. Kids will learn to create both functional and decorative pieces while discovering how they are uniquely crafted by their Creator.

Hand-building techniques (pinch, coil, slab)

Basic glazing and finishing

Clay care and kiln safety

Scriptural reflection through art
