The Book Project

Have you ever wanted to write a book? The life of a high schooler is incredibly busy and those of us with an interest in writing can find it difficult to set aside the time to do it. In this class, you will write a compressed novel. We will discuss the process of writing, style, and genre. We will also learn to edit, revise, write a blurb, and write a cover letter. But we’re not done yet, we’ll also go over how to select a publisher, routes for self publishing, and fit a couple of writing activities in there too! Prepare to sip tea and snack while we discuss plot lines, characters, and so much more! The goal of this class is to improve your skills as a writer and broaden your knowledge of the writing world! This class is for people who are passionate about writing so be prepared to type your fingers off! 

Students will need Binder, pens (including, red, black, and blue), highlighters (multiple colors), annotating tabs, some sort of laptop, some sort of printer at home.
