Instructor: Angela Drane
This class replaces PreCalculus.
Covering the main parts of PreCalculus and integrating some introductory Calculus, naturally extending the topics being studied.
In this course, we study polynomial and rational functions in greater detail. Graphing methods are extended and differentiation, as it relates to graphing, is introduced.
The student's knowledge of equations and inequalities is extended, including using matrices and graphing calculators to solve systems of equations.
Right triangle trigonometry taught in previous courses is extended to any angle, including using radians and the unit circle. We will study trigonometry functions and graphs as well as applications of trigonometry.
Students must have completed Algebra 2.
Students must have a Graphing Calculator.
Students who need to finish before 5/21 can take the final early. Spring break 3/2 to 3/20.
