Description

Instructor: Katrina Lusteck

This course takes students on a journey through time, exploring the events, movements, and cultures that have shaped our world. We will study history by weaving together literature, philosophy, art, religion, and political thought. Students will gain a deeper understanding of how people across time and place have shaped the world, examining history as a story told by humanity.

Homework Expectations:

Each week, students will engage in a variety of assignments designed to deepen their understanding of world history through the humanities. These may include:

  • Assigned Readings: Explore diverse texts that provide historical context and cultural perspectives.
  • Creative Projects: Complete projects that encourage creative expression and personal interpretation of historical themes.
  • Analytical Writing: Craft essays and reports that analyze historical events, texts, and artifacts, fostering critical thinking and argumentative skills.
