Adventures in Art

Do you think about developing and improving your artistic talents?  If so, join us for a fun time exploring artists from different periods in art history and the art techniques they used.  Then try using those techniques yourself in artwork you create.  Incorporate the elements of art we study such a perspective, shading, lighting, texture, and color.  Work individually as well as in small groups with your friends to create collages, posters and murals that can be displayed.  Sketch, paint and sculpt animals, watercolor an ocean scape, make detailed sketches and paintings of desert cacti, flowers and still life, and create landscapes.  Dabble in abstract art, cartoon art, and folk art.  Our class will be comprehensive and give a good overview of all of the ways artists can express themselves.  You will have a chance to talk about your artwork with your classmates in weekly discussions. Biblical principles of encouragement, praise, kindness, generosity, patience, and listening will be discussed.  Biblical verses will be brought into our weekly lessons.
